Burtie has been acting and directing for many years, and has just moved to the area with his wife Sheila having previously worked in theatres in Kent. He trained in Acting and Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College in Sidcup. His acting credits include Bouncers (Lucky Eric), An Englishman Abroad (Guy Burgess), Closer (Larry), Enigmatic Variations (Abel Znorko), Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me (Edward Sheridan), Much Ado About Nothing (Leonato), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Snug), The Sisters Rosensweig (Geoffrey Duncan), The Importance of Being Earnest (Rev. Chasuble), Arsenic and Old Lace (Dr Herman Einstein), I Thought I Heard A Rustling (Bill Robson) and One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (Ruckley). His directing credits include Strangers On A Train, We Happy Few and Love On The Dole. He has also appeared in the TV Choice production of The Twisted Tale of Bloody Mary (Thomas Cromwell). |
