Jean trained in acting at the Lee Strasberg Studio and at Rose Bruford College. She is performing with Black Ram for the first time as Susan in the 2009 tour of Abigail's Party. Previous theatre credits include The Odd Couple (Olive), Suddenly Last Summer (Mrs. Venable), Our Country's Good (Dabby Bryant), Macbeth (First Witch), The Winter's Tale (Hermione), Romeo & Juliet (Lady Montague) and as Ugly Sister in Cinderella. Most recently, she was in an open-air performance of The Parliament of Fowls in Regent's Park with Warhorse Theatreworks and in the site-specific production Depot with the Mercury Theatre, Colchester. Her one feature film credit to date is as Alice, the cantankerous lock-keeper in Dirt, filmed on location in 2008 at Heybridge Basin, Essex, by Peeping Tom Productions. Jean has made several CD recordings of narration, verse-speaking and singing for the charity Health Help International, and also works in museum theatre as a Victorian schoolteacher in Braintree Museum and as a schools workshop leader for the theatre company Shakespeare4Kidz. |
