Love's Labour’s Lost is the most beautiful of Shakespeare's comedies. The King of Navarre has had it with modern life. Swearing to forego the vices of sleep, food, and women – he and his three friends embark on three years of monastic scholarly life.

Cue the arrival of the implausibly vivacious Princess of France and her conveniently numbered trio of female entourage to scupper the King’s lofty plans and you have a recipe for fun and frolics, as Cupid is soon firing his bow of love at all and sundry with the precision of a sawn-off shotgun.

A tale of poetry and summer romance for the whole family, brought to life with live music, verse and spectacle, in breath-taking venues around the country.

Part Shakespeare, part music gig, this outdoor tour will provide everyone with something to shout (or sing) about in August other than banging on about the Edinburgh festival.

Please bring picnic hampers, your own rugs and furniture. Refreshments will be available at each venue where applicable.

We will make every effort to complete all performances even in the most inclement weather, but reserve the right to stop and start action as circumstances demand.
