  The Show

Set in the ruined gothic wreckage of a proscenium theatre, Black Ram Theatre present a truly original re-imagining of Tom Stoppard’s famed existential comedy. Blending the distinctive styles of Lewis Carroll and Tim Burton to create a supernatural toy theatre world of flame, greasepaint and glitter, the comic flip side of Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece Hamlet is told through the eyes of his most enigmatic duo, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.

This is a human fairytale.

This is a carnival ghost story.

This is a comedy about the big things in life... And maybe some of the small ones too.

Using a diverse range of theatrical styles, ranging from musical hall to tent revival, Black Ram Theatre Company invite you to spend an hour or two in the strange world of Stoppard’s Elsinore, filled with kings, clowns, messengers, drag queens, preachers, critics, tribal dancers, actors, travellers, circus masters, talking hats, hippos, lovers, lunatics, pirates, murderers and ghosts.
